This is an ongoing compilation (currently more than 1600 entries) of biographical notices of individuals, churches, and associations primarily among the Dissenting sects between 1650 and 1850. These individuals were involved in a variety of professions, both clerical and lay, with many related to Dissenting literary and print culture. Some church histories are related here, and some entries are provided in more detail than others. The entries have arisen from my work in English Dissent in the past two decades. It is not intended as a comprehensive list by any means, but it can provide useful information for those looking for certain individuals or information related to Dissenting culture.
