J. Longbourne, Bonvilles Court, [London], to Joseph Angus, Secretary, Baptist Society, London, 22 March 1843.
Bonvilles Court [?]
22 March 1843
Sir
I received and thank you for your note in reply to my enquiry respecting the period of departure of the Rev.d Richard Williams from Calcutta.
The information contained in your note relieved the feelings of distress under which Williams’s family were suffering respecting him, but a Letter just received from Mrs Williams gives reason to apprehend that her Husband must have left Calcutta in October. I beg to send herewith a note I found here on my return home last night, and hope you will be able to give some satisfactory information, and remove the apprehensions which the writer entertains of his relation having suffered in one of the recent Gales.
I remain Sir
Your obed.t St
J. Longbourne
Rev.d [Joseph Angus]
Secretary Baptist Society
