Dear Sir
I write as well as the rolling of the vessel will allow to inform you that we are now at Anchor off Deal with a strong gale from the N.W. but our confidence good in the skill of our Captain and the efficiency of the crew we meet with good treatment and are all as well as can be expected myself perhaps the best Mr and Mrs Hands have retired to rest Mr and Mrs G. likewise the latter suffers more we expect to remain here if our anchor prove strong enough till we get a fair winds which I hope will not be long—all desire an interest in your prayers and to be affectionately remembered to the friends at the mission house.
