Marianna Attwater Head, Bradford, to Jane Attwater, Bodenham, c. late March-early April 1773.
I hope my dear Sister Jenny will not be surprized at the last of her things – as I think had I permited her to carry what she had directed at Bradford to be washed at Bratton would not be acting consistant with what I ought to do so pardon this fraud as I know your profound cerimony would have made words had I asked this favor. I must depend on yr wonted good nature to forgive my thrift.
