Dear Sir
To comply with your Request I have been trying to recollect what I said at your father’s grave.
Before I transcribe it, I should like to see a proof of Bror Ivimey’s sermon.
Our Vacation is now terminated. I shall be much engaged at Stepney next week – but the Printer shall not wait long for me if I can help it.
The minister you refer to was not Mrs Newman’s father but Mr Knott who preceded me here.
I am very sorry to hear of your Complaint. Nothing will do, I am convinced, but the knife – to which I have submitted a second time last month.
Oh that all these things may work together for our good!
I am,
Yours truly
Wm Newman
