William B. Gurney, Essex Street, London, to Mr. Paxon, Grays Inn Terrace, Grays Inn Lane, London, 26 June 1832.
My dear Sir
I very much fear that business will put it out of my power to attend the Meeting of the Subscribers to the Baptist Building Fund tomorrow evening. I make all my engagements with a [screener?] as I am not my own Master and I was sorry that you advertised me. You may rely upon it that if possible I will be there but I fear thru [?] chances to one against it from what I see now of tomorrows engagements.
I am
Dear Sir
Yours ever truly
W B Gurney
