Lady Anne Isabella Noel Byron, Cavendish Square, to Henry Crabb Robinson, [30 Russell Square, London], 19 April [1855].
[f. 131r]
4 Cavendish Sqr
April 19th (1855)
Dear Mr C. Robinson
That we should never have mentioned Robertson’s Sermons! Have you seen them? I shall not read them. It is sufficient for me to know through what still they have passed – The story is told with some reservation in the Preface or Dedication.
I hope that you have felt the manly independence of my Grandson with all his uncouth ways. His heart is sound, & his head not far wrong.
Tomorrow at 12 – ?
Yours very truly
A I: Noel Byron.
