John Jennings, Sr.

Dr. John Jennings (1687-1723) ministered to the Independent congregation at Kibworth Harcourt, Leicestershire, 1707-22, and then at the Great Meeting in Hinckley, Leicestershire, form 1722 until his death on 8 July 1723. He operated an academy for training ministers at Kibworth, and it was there that Philip Doddridge attended from 1719-22.
