Andrew Fuller, Kettering, to William Wilberforce, 3 July 1800.
Kettering July 3.1800
My dear Sir
I returned home last night—’twas sorry to hear of your continued illness. Writing to my Son at Northampton, and assuring him that I wd use every mean in my power to prevent his going into the Army or the Navy, had the desired effect, to induce him to return to his place, where he is at this time, apparently contented. How long he will continue so I know not. I thank you dear Sir for all your kindness [f.102v] and hope I shall have no farther occasion to trouble you on this unpleasing business. He thinks, I believe, that the way into the Army or the Navy is shut agst him. That your health may be restored, and your soul revived from day to day is the desire & prayer of dear Sir Yr
Affecte & obliged Servt
A Fuller
