Charles Atkinson, [London], to Henry Crabb Robinson, [London], 6 December 1865.
H. C. Robinson Esqr
6 December 1865
Dear Sir,
Mr Slater the sculptor has deposited here for inspection a bust of Flaxman by the late Mr Joseph. It appears to me a fine work, very full of character, more so than any other bust of Flaxman that I have seen. It exhibits the great Sculptor in somewhat advanced age, & such as he was probably seen by his surviving contemporaries I have shewn it to Mr Foley he thinks highly of it, & is of opinion that it ought to be in the Flaxman collection. Do you know the bust? if not would you be so good as to comeUniversity College University of London,
