Dear Friend,
I deeply sympathize with you I all yr losses. The death of Mr Kirk is a general loss.
Mr Johnson’s poetry what shall I do with it? I don’t like to criticize it, but how can I speak favourably? These are the things wh bother an editor. Will it be safest to forget the book?
Your magazine gets better & better. I owe life to you. Grace & peace be multiplied.
Yours ever heartily
C. H. Spurgeon
