   Will you supply by the Vessel now about to proceed to Fernando Po the enclosed order for nails for the Chapel to be built at Clarence.

   I have had two letters from Friends there, & from Mr Sturgeon the enclosed order comes—

At that time, Clarence was the primary settlement on the island of Fernando Po, with a population of about 700. Nearby was the village of Krou Town. Thomas Sturgeon (d. 1846) was a BMS missionary to Fernando Po, 1842-1846.
