My dear Sir
On receipt of your favour yesterday, I asked Mr Jackson (of Hamilton & Coy) about his Vessel & he said he would not go to Fernando Po until her return from other parts of Africa, but he told me that Horsfall [&] Son were likely & I find they do send one direct to Fernando Po, but the time is not fixed nearer than within the next three months, Mr Horsfall expressed himself friendly so far as not to show any impediments in the way of their going on the same terms as other passengers, & he promises to send for me to see the Captain as soon as their arrangements are more matured, and also for this Captain to give me some information from Fernando Po which Mr Horsfall thinks may be useful to us, after which I will write you.
& believe me
My dear Sir
Yours very truly
Richd Johnson
Revd J Angus A. M.
