John Evans, London, to Joseph Stennett (I), London, 28 August 1707.
Dear Sr
I have spoke with my Mother about ye hundred pound, which will be ready for you at ye end of next week. Since you intimated it would do as well for you when Mr Ellins comes home, she would not give you ye double trouble of a note first & then a bond. I shall I hope have an opportunity to see you next week; if not, would be glad of a Line from you when you think he’l be at home, & to fix ye time when of receiving ye money, when I’l be ready to wait on you & Mr Ellins. I am with great thankfulness for all favours & ye best wishes to you & yours Sr
Your affectionate
friend & servant
Jo. Evans.
