Richard Johnson, Liverpool, to Joseph Angus, Baptist Mission, 6 Fen Court, Fenchurch Street, London, 11 February 1843.
L[iver]pool 11 Feb 1843
My dear Sir
I received yr favour this morning & now enclose the reply from Mess Maxwell’s and as I have no idea what sum you will give for the passages to Africa, you had better inform me, & I will make as good bargain as I can, she is a fine vessel & hope there will be time enough for the Missionaries to get ready, but Mess M— could not determine sooner to send her first to Fernando Po, as it depended on their taking kroomen to the Coast, which I suppose now they do not, at all events it seems a favourable opportunity if there is time believe me
Yours very faithfully
Richd Johnson
