Hugh Stowell Brown, Liverpool, to a Mr. Gill?, 5 April [1868] [watermark on letter reads “1868”].

He writes that there was no “necessity for any apology to my not having been accommodated at a  private house” during the annual meeting.  He says it was “purely an accidental break down of arrangements & I was very comfortably provided for at an inn.”
