No. 1. Letter from the church at Bewdley to the Particular Baptist Fund, London, 1 February 1767.
To the Ministers and Gentleman Managers of the ^Particular^ Baptist Fund in London
The Church of Christ in Bewdley of the same Faith and Order Sends Greeting –
Reverend and Honoured Sirs.
Our beloved Brother and Minister who continues to Labour among us, even in old Age, having received from the Fund, by your Order the Sum of Five Pounds – for the year past – We hereby return you our hearty Thanks for the same – We have made our colletion [sic] for the Fund this First Day of February being Three Shillings which is in the hands of our beloved Brother and Minister James Kettilby, now in the Fiftieth year of his Ministry in this Place; whom we desire you to remember in all your future Communications, that he may be in some measure comfortable in the midst of external difficulties, and his personal Infirmities of old Age – That you may be abundantly recompensed for this and all your Communications for the support of the Interest of our exalted Redeemer is the desire of your obliged Brethren in the bonds of the Gospel. Our Collection for our minister the year past was £5:2:9.
