Lydia H. Sigourney, [London], to Miss Amelia Gurney, [London], undated (c. 1840s).
Monday Morning
My dear Amelia,
I thank you for your kind note this morning, and with regard to the letter to your Father [W. B. Gurney] which accompanied it, I will send the gentleman what he desires, as soon as I have time to copy it, which will scarcely be this week, as I am pressed with indispensable writing. May I ask you to have the goodness to direct for me, the enclosed note to Mr Buckingham, the Lecturer, as I observed his address in the letter of your Cousin James Benham, to you, but did not take sufficient notice of it, to remember it.—
With love to dear Caroline & Maria, & all your household, believe me
My dear Amelia,
Yours very affectionately
L. H Sigourney.
