Henry Crabb Robinson, 2 Plowden Buildings, to Lord [Henry] Brougham, [no address], 29 January 1835.
Dear Sir :
The serious doubts I entertain as to my fitness for the honourable office filled by the members of the Council of the London University would certainly stimulate me to render such services as were yet in my power by a close attention to the duties required –
You are probably aware that I travel abroad nearly every year, but I believe that for some few years my journies will be confined to the Summer and Autumn months. It is my present intention to leave England on the first of May and to return at the latest in October –
I am faithfully your’s
H. C. Robinson
