Henry Taylor

Henry Taylor (1800-66), dramatist, was originally from Witton–le-Wear, County Durham; his father was a friend of Wordsworth. He edited the London Magazine in 1823, after which he worked in the Colonial Office (1824-72). He published a number of plays and a book of poems (1845) and an Autobiography that appeared in 1885.
