Lady Anne Isabella Byron, Brighton, to Henry Crabb Robinson, [30 Russell Square, London], 17 March [18]55.
[f. 126r]
Brighton
March 17th 55
Dear Mr C. Robinson
I have felt much for you for some days, having heard of the illness & death of the old friend whom you were wont to visit. & I am sorry that you did not trust me to understand your silence instead of making an effort to throw your mind into very different channels.
To-day I will only say that should you wish to come to Brighton within a few days on account of the affairs of your deceased friend, I shall be happy to give you a bed, & to relieve you from social claims unsuited to your feelings as the part of your sincere & faithful
A I: Noel Byron.
