Revd Sir:

         It may not perhaps be thought impertinent in me to embrace the opportunity which offers by your son of acknowledging some considerable time ago the Receipt of some of your works for the Poor of Kentucke they are yet in my hands as I have not found my Person willing to take them when I was in Town; but shall be carefully forwarded when opportunity presents it. I read your works with pleasure tis but right that I acknowledge my Satisfaction – I bless the Lord, who has assisted you to complete a work, that on Baptism from which I trust posterity will reap singular advantages – Happy should I be, were it in my Power to give you a favourable Representation; but as it is otherwise I must beg your Christian Remems of us your Companions in the Kingdom & Patience of Jesus Christ.
