Thomas Wake began his ministry as pastor of the Baptist church at Smarden, Kent. In 1794 he removed to the Baptist meeting at Leighton Buzzard, where he remained until 1827; his final ministry was at Kislingbury, Northamptonshire, 1827-1831.
